Hi Everyone,
This month, I’m sharing a hilarious Dave Barry column on . . . naked women!
Enjoy!
“My advice to the editors of Cosmopolitan is: Stop obsessing about men. Stop trying to figure out ways to drive them wild in bed. Just drop this subject for a while. Trust me: Even without technical advice from you, your women readers will have no trouble getting men excited, as long as the men are aware (and believe me, they are) that the women, underneath their clothes, are not wearing clothes.”
Me again: LOL! Gotta love Dave Barry!
Love this!
ReplyDeleteWonderful. Dave B is so funny, and right. :)
ReplyDeleteLOL. He's right. It's probably the women who *really* want to be driven wild in bed.
ReplyDeleteThat's a good one, Joanne. His sense of humor is unique.
ReplyDeletePretty much timeless advice! LOL!
ReplyDeleteI was in Victoria Secret when three "mature" women were shopping. One heckled the other for looking at the merchandise. Her reply was when you're the only naked woman in the room it doesn't matter how old the package is. Still, she liked the wrapping to be nice. LOL
ReplyDeleteFunny, Joanne. Thanks for sharing. This past Sunday, Dave Barry was a guest on the NPR quiz show, 'Wait. Wait. Don't Tell Me.' He had us cracking up. :)
ReplyDeleteLove his sense of humor! Thanks for sharing on a Friday!! LOL
ReplyDeleteLove it! When my husband, now my Ex, and I photographed weddings, I suggested the bride put a pair of sexy panties in the groom's coat pocket just before garter removal time. As the new husband was looking for the garter, the bride would whisper into his ear that she wasn't wearing any panties. When he stared at her she would motion to his pocket, and he would find panties.
ReplyDeleteOf course he wasn't permitted to find out if she told the truth until they were alone.
Jordan,
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked it! Too funny.
Beth,
ReplyDeleteYup, now we know the truth about men. (As if we didn't know!)
Barbara,
ReplyDeleteThe women and the men both want to be driven "wild". :)
Mona,
ReplyDeleteYes, his sense of humor is unique, dry, and very witty. I've always connected with his writing.
Misty,
ReplyDeleteYou're right. Some things about men never change---as if we needed to be reminded.
Morgan,
ReplyDeleteHow funny for these "mature" women. Good for them for still feeling good about themselves.
Dawn,
ReplyDeleteI wish I had known Dave Barry was going to be on that quiz show. It must have been hilarious.
We were fortunate to meet him several years ago when he was in Charlotte, NC.
Judy,
ReplyDeleteI should have labeled it "Fun Friday".
Mary,
ReplyDeleteWell, your suggestion must have added lots of spice to that garter belt removal. That poor, anxious, sweaty groom. :)
So then what you're saying is that the male mind is confusing and yet easy to understand????
ReplyDeleteDave Barry is one of the funniest men on the planet...and he does love women. So glad you chose him to speak about men's foibles...he is always honest about what makes men silly. Rolynn
ReplyDeleteRolynn,
ReplyDeleteI love Dave's sense of humor. And, his poor wife. He loves using her in lots of his material.
I love Dave Barry.
ReplyDeleteFrom my experience, men don't need much to get excited. Any man who does need more than a woman jiggling past him is probably a high maintenance man and who needs one of those? LOL
Josie, Another winning quote. I love your posts. :)
ReplyDeleteDenise,
ReplyDeleteYup, men don't need much stimulation at all. :)
Clarissa,
ReplyDeleteA sincere thank you. I love your posts, also.
