Hi Everyone,
It's the 8th of the month, and I'm sharing a Dave Barry post about Barbie and Ken.
Enjoy and have a chuckle!
"I'm not sure how I feel about the Barbie and Ken split. On the one hand, I can see why Barbie would not be satisfied with Ken. I have a young daughter, so our house has a thriving, teeming Barbie colony. This colony is serviced by one lone Ken, and frankly he is not up to the task."
Me again: Is Ken really up to the task of servicing all those Barbie dolls? :)
Too funny. I had one Barbie, one Ken, and Scooter and whatever the girl's name was. The fun was all the outfits Barbie had! :)
ReplyDeleteSo true! In our house, there are many princesses, a handful of Barbies and one very, very tired looking Ken. ;o)
ReplyDeletePoor Ken. It's quite a responsiblity to be sweetheart to the "perfect" girl.
ReplyDeleteI had a Barbie imitation, and her boyfriend was a boxer dog puppet. :) He was a real sweetie and much more fun than Ken.
ReplyDeleteWe didn't have Barbies, but I'm from an older generation. The little guy doesn't look like a stud to me. Maybe Barbee is too busy to need servicing. What about a Barbie vibrator? ON the other hand ......
ReplyDeleteTerry,
ReplyDeleteYes, I loved the outfits for Barbie, and her pink car.
Kathleen,
ReplyDeletePoor Ken. I guess 1 guy is enough. :)
But Linda,
ReplyDeleteCan Ken do the task all by himself?
Barbara,
ReplyDeleteOK, your puppet sounds like a good substitute for Ken, and much more interesting.
MM,
ReplyDeleteYou are hilarious!
My granddaughters have several Barbies but no Ken, because "he doesn't have nice long hair to comb. He's useless." LOL
ReplyDeleteHi Mona,
ReplyDeleteLittle girls just love to play with their Barbie dolls--fuss with the hair, etc. Ken is not nearly as much fun. :)
