I know the writing I'm doing now, I never could have accomplished at an earlier age. I needed to ripen, like a fine wine. I think it's how we...A lot to think about Emma. I think it's how we face those changes - the ones we can control and the ones we can't. We lost a daughter to cancer and it was writing and writing friends that kept me sane and got me back into living again. Then when I had to face cancer as well, those same friends and the characters in my head pulled me through. I love going some place where I control what happens because so far the changes in my life have not been in my control.
