Dreams really do come true.

Sometimes we hold our dreams close, deep in our hearts, and wish with all our might for them to come true. For writers, getting published is our biggest dream. One I got to realize this week.

I've been offered a publishing contract and my manuscript will become a book. It still seems unreal no matter how many times I say it in my head, to my friends, or on a blog.

As I was reading the email with the good news a small part of me was whispering; now what do you dream of? Because, although we dream often and dream big, a little part inside worries it will never come true. I've been dreaming, and hoping, and working since I was 20 years old to publish a book. I won't tell you how many years that is. LOL

So, this wonderful editor sends me a wonderful email and in just a few short words makes all my dreams come true. I wish I could hug her and I hope she realizes what her note meant to me.

So, when one dream comes true what do you dream of next?

CONGRATULATIONS Jill. Yes it is an incredible feeling to finally receive a contract. We keep wondering if it's true until we hold our first book in our hands. I kept my first book next to me all day long. I have the bookcover framed on the wall. I wish you many more happy dreams Jill.

Thank you everyone for such wonderful, happy wishes. Yes, I will share details on FTH loop and on my own blog/website as each step of the process happens. I wrote this post last night and didn't want to say any details until I mailed the contract this morning. I'll probable write a big note on the FTH loop later today.

Isn't it pure joy to have a dream come true!? I am so happy for you. My publishing dream hasn't come true yet, but I've had lots of dreams that have. What do you dream of next - it will come to you. I always told my children not to bother with the little things. Always dream for the moon. Sounds like you just got your piece of the moon. Go you!!!!

Congratulations, Jill. I always find when I achieve one dream I naturally move on to wanting a bigger dream. It's like climbing a mountain, you reach the peak only to find there is another higher peak in the distance waiting to be climbed.
