Joanne--Dave Barry's gift guide

Hi everyone,
It's the 8th of the month, and I wanted to share another very funny classic Dave Barry. While visions of the holiday still float in our heads, this is his take on holiday gifts. Enjoy!

"Men, typically, who are busy during the holiday season with responsibilities such as watching the playoffs, manage to get their wives an average total of one gift, which they wrap hastily at the last minute, which is why they do not notice that the wrapping paper says "Happy Birthday!" Sometimes a husband, trying to make his gift output look larger, will wrap the batteries separately. (I have done this.)"

So, is anyone's husband/boyfriend guilty of this?

Yes, DH would do it, and add, "you used all the wrapping paper. It's the only one I found." So it becomes my fault.

Yep,my ex, would have done that, or had the women who work for him do the wrapping. A well wrapped package with a fancy bow was a dead giveaway.

My DH gives the gift without the wrap--unless the store does the wrapping. The gift is appreciated either way. :)

Mona,
Your DH sounds hilarious, and a lot like my husband. Always blameless. :)

MM,
Actually, my DH is the official gift wrapper in our family. Nothing too fancy, though.

Dawn,
That's why they invented gift bags and tissue paper. Every gift looks priceless.
