Joanne---Dave Barry and Valentine's Day

Hi Everyone,
Please share a chuckle with me.
For this month, I'm sharing Dave Barry's brief opinion on Valentine's Day. Enjoy!

WHAT WOMEN WANT: To be loved, to be listened to, to be desired, to be respected, to be needed, to be trusted, and sometimes, just to be held.

WHAT MEN WANT: Tickets for the World Series

Me again: OK, is he right? :)

Hi, Joanne. Thanks for the hump-day chuckle. He's got the women part right, but my DH hates baseball. He'd rather go sailing. :)

Mine would be happy with the sex.

Thanks for the smile today. And, yep, it pretty much hits it on the head. But that's ok. As long as he's mastered (along with "I Love You")the important two words-"Yes, Dear."

Actually for Valentine's Day, I wanted a tall, blond, blue-eyed gorgeous man with long hair to do all those things women want. tee hee OR an Aston Martin Vanquish. I think he is right though.

We've been to the World Series. Mine wants more. Like for the Bills to win the SuperBowl, and for me to show up with a fresh loaf of bread in each hand while a pizza is cooking in the oven. Oh and don't forget the beer.

Judy,
You're right--that pretty much sums it up.

Dawn,
My DH would rather watch football--but either way, it's a man thing.

I's close! I want to be held, etc, by a a man who knows how to ravish me and make me want to ravish him. Hugs and kisses are good, too.

"Yes, dear" works for me, Barbara, along with my "honey do" list.

Linda,
The car or the man--what a dilemma! :)

Carla,
That's the way to a man's heart--through his stomach. LOL!

I think guys want tickets to (whichever sports final) AND to be hugged, listened to, etc. :)

Only if his team is playing... LOL.

MM,
Sounds great---Where is that man who wants to hold and kiss and ravish? :)

I think it all depends on the man and the woman. I know I want to be loved and appreciated. Guess what, that's exactly what my sweetie wants too

Barbara M.,
Yes, guys definitely want tickets to their favorite sporting event. Mine loves football and hockey.

Josie said...

Lynn,
In my husband's case, his team is always playing. Seems like football season lasts for months and months.

Josie said...

Morgan,
That is so sweet! Your guy sounds wonderful.

I hate football!
Truly it reminds me of Sunday nite and football and school!
So I'm kinda glad DH doesn't care about it either.

Mary,
Should I admit it here? I don't like football, either. But, I like football food for the Super Bowl, and usually enjoy the half-time show.
