Four
of you who make me laugh or make my eyes pop out, chosen at random, will win a

The Plot: Two murders, decades apart,
embroil an Alaska fishing town. He’s a
Treasury agent, savvy at tracking criminals by computer; new to street
investigation, especially in Petersburg, Alaska. She’s struggling to save
her family salmon business and solve an old cold case that haunts the town.
Two
unsolved murders will tear apart an Alaska fishing town unless a writer and a
government agent reveal their secret obsessions.
Treasury
agent Parker Browne is working undercover in Petersburg, Alaska to investigate
a money scam and a murder. His prime suspect, Liv Hanson, is a freelance writer
struggling to save her family’s business. Free spirited, full of life, and with
a talent for catching liars, she fascinates Parker.
Trying
to prove she’s a legitimate writer who cares about Petersburg’s issues, Liv
pens a series of newspaper articles about an old, unsolved murder. When her
cold case ties in with Parker’s investigation, bullets start to fly.
Parker
understands money trails, and Liv knows the town residents. But he gave up on
love two years ago, and she trusts no one, especially with her carefully
guarded secret. If they mesh their skills to find the killers, will they
survive the fallout?

Thanks for the post! I cannot say in my experience of the free Kindle days for my books evoked many, if any, tear-inducing funnies. My newest PNR did, however, get rejected by one of the free listing services because it was too hot. That made me smile at last.

I haven't crossed the finish line of publication yet, Rolynn so no funny stories to tell yet. I downloaded Lie Catchers and will read (and review) asap.
Zoe, I love the 'too-hot' story. This will make you laugh...some want MORE sex in my book. Defies logic for my story.
Ana, I swear, we need to put the fun/funny in our tip sheet. This is a grueling business!
Ana, I so appreciate your offer to read and review LIE CATCHERS. You are a gem to me!
Rolynn - congrats on having Lie Catchers on for free - and thank you!
I've had fun putting up free books, but noticed that my romantic comedy, The No Sex Clause, had a gazillion downloads while the other romantic comedy, Winters & Somers, didn't stir the waters half as much. When I changed the title to Winters & Somers: Ireland's Sexiest PI! it, too flew off the digital shelves. So sex does sell, yes? Now I'm wondering how to add the s word to all my books. Marrying Money: Lady Diana's Story is free right now ....
Glenys, you're welcome. Your comment about sexy titles is very interesting. I imagine the same goes for sexy covers. We have to keep raising the ante, it seems!
I have downloaded Lie Catchers and plan to read it in the next week or so. Tell you what - my TBR pile is growing waayy too fast! I don't have funny stories from my free days, sorry. Wish I did!
Sorry I'm late chiming in. I love the blurb from Lie Catchers, and I have my download. Looking forward to reading it. I don't have side-splitting funny stories about free days. Although, I find it funny in a dark, not really funny way, when someone gets a free book and reviews it, saying "even at 'free' it wasn't worth the cost." Or, 'even free, I wish I hadn't wasted my time' - Ouch, right? Best of luck with Lie Catcher!
